Parkland Regional Library staff are delighted to welcome some new faces onto our team! Caitlin Jonker joined the Operations team at the start of this year. Caitlin fills a vacancy left in finance and operations when Kara Hamilton was hired into the position of Office Administrator.

We welcome Jessie-Lynn Gerski to the IT team on January 14th. You may recognize Jessie’s name from her previous role at the Rocky Mountain House Library. Sorry, Rocky, but your loss is our gain! And we’re happy to report that Alyssa Buck, who joined PRL on contract in August 2018, has accepted a permanent position on our cataloguing team.

In broader regional news, we welcome Karen Tubb as Manager of Sundre Municipal Library. Karen has already made great contributions as their programmer and as of January 1st she brings her skills and knowledge to this new role.

Robyn Gray joins the Parkland region family as Director of Camrose Public Library on January 14th. We look forward to working with Robyn, who brings experience from Northern Lights Library System and Battle River Schools.

It is with sadness that we share the news of Billi-Jo Wildeboer’s passing on January 6th. Billi-Jo had been the library manager in Hardisty since 2002 and our heart-felt condolences go out to her family – and to the community as they face this unexpected loss.
