Transferring Hold Requests

If a patron selects the wrong pickup location when creating a hold request, the pickup location can be changed.

Staff can change the pickup location in Leap, regardless of the status of the hold request. Patrons can also change the pickup location from their account in the PAC when the hold request has a status of Active.

How to change the pickup location of a hold request in Leap:

1. Open the patrons account
2. Under the holds tab find the held item, double click to open the hold request
3. Change the pickup location

4. Click Save
5. Check the item in again. This should prompt you to send the item to the new pickup location.
How to change the pickup location of a hold request from the PAC:

1. Log in, Open Requests from the My Account menu
2. Check the box beside the requested title you wish to edit
3. At the bottom of the requests list click “Change Pickup Location”
4. The Change Hold Request page will display
5. Select the new pickup location from the drop down menu and click submit.
6. The confirmation page will display with the message “pick up location was changed”
