The upgrade will begin at 6:30 AM and is expected to take approximately 2 hours. During the upgrade you will not have access to Polaris LEAP, reports, or the Patron Access Catalogue (PAC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notable Enhancements in this Upgrade:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Cancelling hold requests with a \u201cshipped\u201d status.<\/strong><ul><li>Both staff and patrons will have the ability to cancel a hold request that has already been transferred to the pick-up location. If the hold in question is cancelled, it will remain in-transit until the item is checked-in. At that point it will route back to the originating library or get trapped to fill another patron\u2019s request.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Mailing Notices<\/strong><ul><li>You can now generate \u201cprint\u201d notices and print them directly within LEAP. This can be done for the following \u201cprint\u201d notice types; Overdue and billing, holds, fines, etc.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Patron \u201cMy Lists\u201d<\/strong><ul><li>In the PAC under the \u201cMy account\u201d tab, \u201cMy Lists\u201d now appears in the drop-down navigation menu.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An announcement will be sent out after the upgrade is complete, along with any instructions or other notes pertaining to the new enhancements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any questions please send them to <a href=\"mailto:helpdesk@prl.ab.ca\">helpdesk@prl.ab.ca<\/a> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Monday September 21st, 2020 an upgrade to Polaris will be taking place.
