Nominations for the\nMinister\u2019s Awards for Public Library Service are open! These awards aim to\n\u201cdesignate public libraries that house innovative programs, services or\ntechnologies as centres of excellence.\u201d If you applied for a 2019 award, you do\nnot need to resubmit your nomination. Your application will automatically be\nconsidered for the 2020 awards. (No winners were selected in 2019 due to the\ntiming of the Provincial election.)

\nThe awards will be presented at the Alberta Library Conference in Jasper,\nApril 23-26. Due to fiscal restraint, winners\u2019 travel to or accommodation\nat Jasper will not be reimbursed by Public Library Services Branch this\nyear. However, they have reserved some rooms with the organizers if your\nlibrary wins an award and you need accommodation. There will be no \u201cYou\nLibraries\u201d award this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
