In Canada there are two main providers of public performance licenses, each representing different film studios:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.criterionpic.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Criterion Pictures<\/a><\/strong>: Subscriptions run from November &#8211; October, and cannot be pro-rated. Fees vary based on the size of your community and the type of license you select (home-release, pre-release or pre-release+on-demand). No reporting is necessary with a Criterion license. The list of Studios\/Producers licensed by Criterion for public performance can be found at: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.criterionpic.com\/CPL\/lcl_studiosproducers_new.html\">http:\/\/www.criterionpic.com\/CPL\/lcl_studiosproducers_new.html<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acf-film.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Audio-Cin\u00e9 Films (ACF)<\/strong><\/a>: <span data-teams=\"true\">Subscriptions run from November 1 \u2013 October 31, but may be pro-rated. Fees vary based on the type of license you select (basic or basic + streaming). Basic license covers physical media (DVD and Blu-Ray), and streaming allows libraries to view movies anywhere within their location without the hassle of physical copies. License reports of what movies have been shown must be submitted quarterly (Feb 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1).
