A few tips for selecting book club books
- Create a patron record set with all your members. That way you can bulk-place a hold for each member
- Choose older titles with more linked items than your need.
- Place holds far in advance, and change the hold activation date to 3-4 weeks before you need it.
For example, if your book club meeting is on May 1, place the activation date on April 1-7. This will ensure your patron is at the top of the holds queue but does not get the book too soon.
