You are invited to attend/present at the 2026 Parkland Regional Library System Conference on Monday, September 21st. The conference will be held at the Lacombe Memorial Center, 5214 50 Ave, Lacombe, AB
The PRLS planning committee is currently seeking program proposals for one-hour presentations at the conference. Our conference attendees will include library managers, staff, and board members. Some of the topics we are interested in are:
- Collections/Merchandising
- Fundraising/Financial Administration
- Artificial Intelligence/Cyber-security/Privacy
- Mental Health
- Intellectual Freedom/Political Neutrality and The Public Library
- Board Governance/Policy/Advocacy
The deadline for submissions is April 24, 2026, and submissions will receive a response from the planning committee by April 30, 2026. Please submit your proposal by sending the following information to the conference committee at Libraryservices@prl.ab.ca. Be sure to include the following information with your submission:
- Name
- Affiliation
- Position/Title
- Contact Information – mailing address, phone number, and email address
- Library system (if applicable)
- Session title
- Session description
- Three session goals or objectives
- Session format (single or double speaker, panel, hands-on/workshop, etc.)
The personal information collected for session submissions will be used to contact session speakers and advertise selected sessions.
