The 2025 Parkland Regional Library Conference: Libraries – Value Beyond Words will be taking place on Monday, September 15, 2025 at the Lacombe Memorial Centre in Lacombe, Alberta.
Call for Proposals
We are currently seeking program proposals for one-hour presentations at the conference. We are interested in a variety of topics, including things such as DEI in libraries, emerging technologies and trends, community engagement and advocacy, customer service, conflict management and de-escalation strategies and more. The deadline for submissions is April 2, 2025 and submissions will receive a response from the conference planning committee on April 11, 2025.
Please submit your proposal by sending the following information to the conference planning committee at libraryservices@prl.ab.ca. Be sure to include the following information:
About you:
- Name
- Affiliation
- Position/Title
- Contact information (including personal mailing address, phone number and email address)
- Brief speaker bio (100 words or less)
About your session:
- Session Title
- Session description (100 words or less)
- Three session goals or objectives
- Session format (single or double speaker, panel, workshop, etc.)
- Room configuration (theatre, classroom, banquet)
- AV requirements
Important Dates:
- Deadline for submissions: April 2
