Please Note: Items booked on this page are not for loan to the public. Kits must be used for programming under supervision by a library staff member at all times. Please make sure you place all items back in the box and return kits on time to PRLS.
Booking Calendar
If you are booking a specific kit for the first time, remember to allow yourself a day or two before your program to familiarize yourself with the materials. Descriptions of the different kits types and more information can be found under the booking form.

Programming Kits
Libraries can borrow Program Kits for up to 3 weeks.
Looking to run a story time, children’s program, teen program or adult program? Consider trying one of our Program Kits! These kits cover a wide range of ages and themes. Contents of all kits are available on the Q: drive (Q:\Programming\PRLS Programming Kits and Equipment). The kits are available for a range of ages (children to adult) and include enough material for you to present a program based on the kit themes.
Book Club Kits
Libraries can borrow Book Club Kits for up to 6 weeks.
Book clubs are a great way to promote lifelong learning and help your patrons discover new authors/ genres! If you’re looking to start a book club, check out one of our book club kits today! The kits are available for a range of ages (children to adult) and include 8 to 10 books and accessible options!
Equipment
Libraries can borrow Equipment for up to 2 weeks.

Red Hot Science
Red Deer Polytechnic’s (RDP) Red Hot Science youth outreach program is pleased to offer technology, coding, and robotics workshops. These 1-1.5 hour workshops introduce youth to fun, hands-on tech with real-world applications in industries including agriculture. Red Hot Science is a proud network member of Actua, and is thankful to provide these workshops with their support.
