We’re excited to announce that from July 1 to 31, residents of our region can submit their design for a new Parkland library card! The idea came from the system’s Advocacy Committee as an opportunity to re-engage with our communities, gain new supporters, and raise awareness as libraries start re-opening services.
We request that libraries promote this contest to their patrons and, if possible, incorporate it into their Summer Reading programs. Submissions should be returned to Parkland via the van runs no later than August 7th. Please use the correspondent folders that Parkland provided earlier this year to send them to us. This will help prevent submissions from being damaged.
The template and instructions, posters, and social media posts can be found on the Q drive (Q:\Advocacy and Marketing\Canadian Library Month\Library Card Design Contest) If you want additional printed copies, please contact your consultant.
Parkland will award prizes to the top 3 entries. The Advocacy Committee will select the winning designs in mid-August and we plan to have the new cards available in October to celebrate Canadian Library Month. We are very excited about this contest and look forward to seeing the amazing submissions!
If you have any questions about the contest, please reach out to your consultant.
