Withdrawn Process in Polaris

Withdrawn Process in Polaris

You may have noticed that search results in Leap were beginning to turn up long lists of withdrawn items- particularly with serials issues. Therefore, as per requests from many of our member libraries we have implemented a new process to remove items that have had a status of withdrawn for 3 or more months. This change takes effect on Monday, October 5th, 2020.

Things to note about the removal of withdrawn items:

  • The removal of item records will not impact your annual report statistics.
  • Affected items will be removed from patron reading history, and any patron lists.
  • Affected items will be also be removed from any associated record sets.
